Hearty Swahili Githeri – a wholesome mix of beans and maize simmered with spices, perfect as a nutritious main meal or snack.

Ingredients

  • * Preboiled githeri

  • * 1 onion

  • * 2 tomatoes

  • * 1  beef cubes

  • * 65 ml coconut cream

  • * to taste Salt

  • * Oil for frying

Directions

  • Fry onions until golden brown
  • Add tomatoes, let them cook well
  • Add preboiled githeri, mix well. Add salt and beef cubes, let them cook well.
  • Add coconut cream, let it cook for 5-10 minutes. Remove from heat and serve
